Project Highlights
Many office buildings suffer from it’s exposed ledges and sills when pigeons establish their roosting spots there. In this case these areas provided a comfy vantage point for the pigeons on the adjacent vegetation, where food was plenty. No doubt someone was also feeding them once in a while. These ledges get all-day sunshine as well, which makes them that much appealing to the birds.
It was time for us to get our bosuns chair out for this one – there is no other way to access the ledges in these cases.
After a thorough cleaning and disinfection we made 35 descents to install Bird Spikes on the upper ledges, sills and roof parapet.
The result is immediate deterrence and it cannot be seen at all from the ground – we could say that the spikes were meant to installed in cases like this.
